Next Saturday morning Russian class will be held in the Auditorium of the Ames public library on March, 8.
Helia is responsible for preparing the lesson. We will also celebrate International Women's Day after the lesson. So, expect to see in a puppet show, active games and healthy snacks!
Here is what we will do:
1) Lesya, Sveta and Luda will prepare a puppet show, a scene from Grigoriy Oster's "33 Parrots".
2) We will have another show where kids will be involved - a story of different animals preparing gifts for their Mommies. Each kid will play an animal and help to cut out a paper heart for their animal Mommies. Then they will have to match their gifts with the big pictures of their animal Mommies.
3) We will do active games: "River", "Musical Chairs", and “Run Under the Rope".
4) We will make a card for Mommies. Art supplies will be available to each child. Parental guidance is strongly advised.
5) Healthy snacks and supplies: Lesya - fruit and forks, Sveta - cookies (plates and table cloth), Luda - cookies, Ahn Chi - beverages and cups, Helia - fruits.
6) Kevin is in charge of videotaping. You are all encouraged to help him document the club's life with pictures and videos. I will also welcome if you if you are willing to contribute a posting to this blog, :-).
